More Beautiful Women by Nick Knight
Inspired by warhol’s film “Thirteen Most Beautiful Women” Nick Knight simply asked models to stand in front of the video camera for two minutes until told to stop.
Deliverance, Alexander McQueen S/S 2004
The staging of the collection was based on the film They Shoot Horses Don’t They? by Sydney Pollack. It showed a Depression-era dance marathon, choreographed by the dancer Michael Clark. It had three chapters, and the final act had the models and dancers in utter exhaustion, just as they were about to collapse. The scene you’re seeing here is the model Karen Elson, with utter fatigue, being dragged around as she’s about to expire.
